Program Learning Environments
The Mining Engineering Undergraduate Program is structured to provide diverse learning environments where students can integrate theoretical knowledge with practical applications. Courses are mainly delivered in classroom settings using modern teaching methods covering both fundamental engineering subjects and specialized mining engineering topics.
Throughout the program, students gain practical experience through laboratory studies in areas such as rock mechanics, mineral processing, mining methods, and mine ventilation. Computer-based learning environments are also widely used, allowing students to utilize engineering software for mine planning, production design, ventilation modeling, and numerical analysis.
The program places strong emphasis on field experience. Through mandatory internships, students have the opportunity to observe real mining operations and gain professional experience in both underground and surface mines. Technical field trips, seminars by industry professionals, and applied project work are also important components of the learning process.
In the final year, students complete a graduation project in which they analyze and develop engineering solutions for real-world mining problems, thereby strengthening their professional competencies.
