Program Profile
The fundamental aim of the program is to analyze Turkey's traditional musical heritage from an academic perspective and to pass on the performance practices of Turkish Folk Music and Turkish Art Music to future generations without detaching them from their essence. Accordingly, it seeks to train vocalists and scholars who integrate scientific and artistic disciplines, uphold ethical values, possess advanced professional qualifications, and are capable of successfully representing our music on Turkish and global stages.
Program Learning Environments
The Voice Education Undergraduate Program provides a contemporary learning environment uniting traditional Turkish musical heritage with a universal approach to music. The academic and artistic progression of our students is driven by a curriculum centered on Repertoire (Turkish Folk Music, Turkish Art Music) and Vocal Training. This core is heavily supported by Corepetition, Choir, and Stage Performance courses, alongside comprehensive elective course packages. Featuring the simultaneous involvement of academicians from various disciplines, this predominantly one-on-one study model distinctively harmonizes the profound master-apprentice tradition with modern conservatory methodologies. This meticulously guided interactive education is further enriched by regular concert practices, hosted both within our facilities and on the stages of stakeholder institutions via joint projects. Ultimately, it equips students with a dynamic domain of artistic experience that encourages both creative thinking and a scientific mindset.
