The information and program qualifications related to the Control and Automation Engineering Bachelor of Science Program, under the Department of Control and Automation Engineering of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, are summarized below.
Information About The Program
In the most general sense, control and automation engineering endeavours the problem of compelling a system to a desired situation via appropriate software and hardware. In other words, it consists of all the works related to changing the system behaviour as desired. Various problems that occured as a result of the rapid increase in production with the rapidly developing technology after the industrial revolution have impelled people to seek new methods to increase efficiency. The utilization of the information resulting from the research in industry and other production systems has led to the emergence of a new branch of engineering , "Control and Automation Engineering". Control and Automation engineering is a branch of engineering which develops and implements information and technology providing electrical, electronical, mechanical and computer-based industrial systems to work in the intended and planned manner.

Program Learning Environments
Learning activities in the Control and Automation Engineering Program are primarily carried out through formal education, and when necessary, they are supported by distance learning opportunities. In addition to theoretical courses, students are trained in practical learning environments where they can develop engineering applications and professional skills.
Practical studies within the program are conducted in departmental laboratories, workshops, computer laboratories, and application environments supported by engineering simulation software. Through these environments, students gain hands-on experience in control systems, automation technologies, robotics, sensor and actuator applications, and industrial automation.
In addition, students have the opportunity to gain professional experience and become familiar with real engineering problems through internships carried out in collaboration with industry.
